WINERY ALCOHOL SERVER PERMIT

Winery Focused Alcohol Server Permit Class ~ MAST 12/13

If your winery has a main location for the production of wine yet has another (secondary) location that provides samples or by the glass tastings, you and your pouring staff need to have a valid Class 12 Alcohol Server permit. For those wineries and their employees that produce wine and have wines available to the public at the same location you do NOT have to legally be in possession of this permit…but why wouldn’t you make that commitment?

Special costing for this important class has now been made available to wineries so that each employee has the knowledge to serve alcohol in a proper and professional manner. The lecture covers the effects of alcohol on the body, legal requirements of ensuring minors do not obtain alcohol, key steps to limit the number of intoxicated drivers, updated information on proper forms of identification and information about the impact of third person liability.

By ensuring your tasting room staff and volunteers have taken the MAST class  you can rest assure your organization has taken the initiative to sensibly serve alcohol in the State of Washington. Our local wineries carry an important responsibility in the service of fine Washington wine: Make certain your crew is aware of the rules. Protect your winery and your dedicated pouring staff by contacting me today for setting your class date.
